“What is important is invisible to the eye.” – ANTOINE DE SAINT EXUPÉRY

G. J. “Chip” Bradish
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

My work as a therapist began as a volunteer suicide prevention counselor in college, which lead me onto a formal career in the fields of guidance, counseling, psychotherapy and coaching.

More than 20 years into this career I continue to be intrigued with people and their struggles to meaningfully apply themselves in today’s high tech, and fast paced world.  I enjoy the privilege of getting to know people from the inside out and supporting them find their own unique passage into meaning, gratitude, and happiness.

CenterGround is a practice I began in 1996, and is a reflection of my values: an accessible neighborhood general practice that supports the creative and caring population of Jamaica Plain and surrounding areas.  I am committed to working with the spiritual, sexual, affectual, professional, relational concerns of my clients and their families.

I enjoy continuing my education and dedicate time and energy to developing my skills.  I have been trained in body work, Gestalt Therapy, psychodrama and dance/movement therapy at The Esalen Institute (Big Sur, CA).  Also I am a Level 1 Trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist.  I have training in pastoral counseling as well.  Finally, I have a large interest in supporting clients with sexuality concerns and am well versed in issues related to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transexual identity.  I am “kink friendly”, “sex positive” and “poly friendly” to my clients, their partners, families and children.
